CHRISTIAN RECORD LABELS
Sacred Records
Sacred Records was
founded by Earle Williams in Los Angeles who began recording chimes with
Paul Mickelson in 1941. Sacred later moved to Whittier, California.
Word Records bought Sacred in 1960, and the label
was phased out in the early ‘70s as Christian music became more
contemporary.
Artists included Vangie Carmichael, Bob Daniels, Beth Farnum, Bill Carle, Alan McGill, Redd Harper, the Good Twins, Stuart Hamblen, Norman Nelson, Greg Loren, and arranger-conductor Ralph
Carmichael.
