Manna Records was a division of Manna Music  in the ‘70s and early ‘80s and was located in Burbank, California.

MANNA MUSIC PUBLISHING

Manna Music was founded in 1955 by Tim Spencer , who along with Leonard Slye (he became better known as Roy Rogers) and Bob Nolan , formed the famed Western singing group, “ The Sons of the Pioneers ”.

Composers whose music is published by Manna Music include Audrey Mieir , Doris Akers , Cindy Walker , Andrae Crouch , Andrew Culverwell and others.

In the later ‘60s, it was Tim Spencer who, recognizing Andrae Crouch ’s potential not only as a songwriter but also a vocalist, introduced him to Light Records president Ralph Carmichael , who signed Andrae to a contract and released his first nationally-distributed album, followed by many others.

In 1969, Tim’s son, Hal Spencer  became president and CEO of Manna Music.

Manna Music today administers copyrights for the hymn “ How Great Thou Art ” by Stuart K. Hine and many other songs written by the above mentioned composers and others ( see top 50 songs published by Manna Music ).
