History:
Essential Records was founded in 1992 by Robert Beeson. The label
set out to offer a variety of contemporary music genre recordings from
its southern California roster.
Essential was acquired by Brentwood Music in
1993, and now is a part of the Provident Music Group. Subsequent
releases included one of the industry’s most successful artists, Jars of Clay.
