Sparrow Records was founded by Billy Ray Hearn in 1976.
In 1992, Sparrow was purchased by British
media giant EMI and became the cornerstone of the EMI Christian Music Group which
includes the ForeFront label. Bill Hearn, son of founder Billy Ray Hearn, is the president/CEO
of EMI CMG,
Billy Ray Hearn is Chairman.
